Isolation Camp art shows + Werkschau talk

Since 2010 Isolation Camp is an annual gathering of musicians and visual artists from around the world in a remote hut somewhere in the Austrian alps. For the first time a selection of artworks that were made during Isolation Camp are exhibited in Vienna. For the two upcoming art shows I made a sticker and print…

Thursday, April 23rd, Isolation Camp @ adhocPAD (Facebook event)
Friday, April 24th, Isolation Camp @ Rabbit Eye Movement (Facebook event)

And on Saturday, April 25th, I will be giving my first talk ever at Werkschau für Grafisches und Illustratives.

Next weekend will be very busy…

Showcase 100 exhibition

I’m stoked to be part of the Showcase 100 exhibition which will be held from 7th – 11th April at The Framer’s Gallery in central London. Showcase 100 is a juried exhibition and publication of 100 illustrations from some of the best professional illustrators working in the industry today. Curated by The Little Chimp Society and Hire an Illustrator.

The final 100 artworks from a selection of several hundred will be on display and available to purchase at the show, as will the accompanying book.

Nextcomic Festival 2015

Michael Hacker Nextcomic 2015

I had an amazing weekend at Nextcomic Festival in Linz. Thanks to the organisers for making the only Austrian comic festival such a great experience! And thanks to Brauwerk Wien and Daniel Kupka from FM4 for providing some cases of FMBier for the opening of my Steroid Max exhibition.

During the weekend I saw a lot of brilliant exhibitions and paintings by Nicolas Mahler, Abbrederis, Soybot, Stefano Ricci & Anke Feuchtenberger, Brecht Vanderbroucke & Paul Paetzel, Joe Made This, Flying Förtress and many more.
